Schofield and Sims mental arithmetic series worksbooks KS2

Post by mystery »

What do you think of this series? There are seven books - introductory plus books 1 to 6.

Any idea how each book relates to NC levels? I phoned S and S themselves but they hadn't a clue.

Hi mystery,

Have a look at this. This should give you some information.

Brilliant. Thank you for spotting that. I spoke to Schofield and Sims and they didn't have a clue! That is just what I needed.

My DS is in Year 5 and he is doing Schofield Mental Maths no 5 at home. He is doing well but we find that quite a few areas have not yet been covered in class (such as the area of a circle).

My school (Year 6) are doing the Grammar/Punctuation Schofield and Sims book 5 and I think they are impossibly hard!
