My children are in Y3 and Y2 but both do Y4 and Y3 maths at school. I have been helping them at home and they have covered times tables, fractions, decimals, area etc. I was wondering if anyone could recommend primary maths books so taht they can practice and learn new topics at their own pace. Does anyone have any experience of

Collins New Primary Maths
Heinemann Maths
Primary Maths in Action

Thanks

Talk to their teacher and see what they recommend -

Definitely talk to their teacher.

You might also work on their use of maths, by doing investigations, problem solving etc. to encourage them to think systematically and mathematically.

There are loads of good sites on the web.
