There has been a lot of discussion about Kumon , I suggest doing a search (top right) on Kumon

Hi,
I chose to stop Kumon in the Dec of year 5. It helped my daughter immensely with her maths, but it focuses more on mental mathematics and not problem solving. The skills she has learnt from kumon mean that she is able to do the maths quickly (faster than me at times). Kumon didnt teach the various topics in maths that are required for the 11+.
However, if you are considering tuition for 11+ specifically then the workload will be too much...kumon/school and tutors.
Hope this helps
