Stan is counting his cows. He realises that every third cow is brown and every fourth cow has horn. If Stan has a herd of 36 cows, work out how many brown with horns?

If this is the first time that this sort of question is being tackled then start by making a table:

The cows overlap on multiples of 3 and 4. Best for DC to work that out for themselves.
