Imperial measures

Just got DD to complete a Bond Assessment paper which contains a question that assumes the child knows conversation from pounds to KG as well as the fact that there are 16 Oz to the pound.

What is the view of this forum as to what extent knowledge is required of Imperial measures. If they expect knowledge of weights, then my fear is that they also are expected to know pints/gallons, inches/yards etc....which she's never had to learn at school.

We are looking at CEM maths and North London Indies. Thanks.

It's in the new curriculum for year 5

Ma5/3.1b understand and use approximate equivalences between metric units and common imperial units such as inches, pounds and pints

but just as approximate equivalence.
