Definitely. It doesn't say that he has the clock in his bedroom - and for all we know, his parents might make him sleep in the cupboard under the stairs :shock:. I can quite see that certain children might get quite hung up on whether the time shown would have to be during the hours of darkness, though. Why not just say that the numbers glow (leaving out the 'in the dark' bit)?

Or he could have gone on a trek to the north pole in winter.

I'm just hoping its not one of those radium clocks from the 1960's.
