Hi

Can someone pls help me to find the answer

These pair of numbers are related with the same rule.

(4,9) (10,81) (8,49) (1,?)

The number which could replace the question mark is

a) 0
b) 1
c) 4
d) 5

Thanks

Uma

Hi Uma

Subtract 1

Then square

Answer is 0

4 - 1 = 3
3 x 3 = 9

etc

Regards

Mike

I don't know what it is with these questions but although I keep trying I'm absolutely usless! When the answers are revealed I can see it but when will the penny drop? I think I'll leave these question types to the tutor!
