Question 48.

The answer given is 2x +2y

WE make it 2y+x+z.

Any ideas?

Is the question short enough to type in? If it is I'll give it a go!

2x + 2y is correct

If you look carefully all the horizontal 'bits' of the step make x and ditto the vertical 'treads' of the steps make y.

Thanks!

I can see where we went wrong now.

Sometimes you look so hard at something you can't see straight!
