questions, 20, 30, 40

you have to find teh perimeter of a shape, do all 4 rectangles combine to make 1 big one?

It should be considered as one big shape. In fact it is quite easy to find the perimeter for these, as it will be the perimeter of a rectangle made of longer base and taller side.
