A Maths Question!
We are a bit confused about following question:
A box of chocolates contains 20 chocolates of which 8 are plain chocolates. If 16 of the 20 have soft centres, what can you say about how many plain chocolates there are with soft centres?
Please help all you maths gurus. I gave up on Maths 20 years ago. Will help you in VR if you help me in Maths

Re: A Maths Question!
My guess
At least 4 of the plain chocolates have soft centers.

2/5 of the box are plain chocolates and 4/5 are having soft centres and according to the ratio 2/5 divided by 4/5 are the soft centred chocolates which are nothing but 1/2 of the plain that means 1/2x8=4.
so 4 are soft centred chocolates.

You are right. 4 is the answer. I was wrong and reading too much into it!naga wrote:Drastic Dad wrote:We are a bit confused about following question:
