Hi all
Sadly we were unsuccessful at appeal last year and although my daughter is fairly happy at her school, she has asked me about sitting the 12+ to get into our local grammar.
Last year everyone was very supportive and helpful so i thought this was the best place to come.

Have any of you any info that you could share with me please about the tests?

Thank you

Hi,

I am pretty sure Spalding High uses NfER VR and NVR tests very similar to the 11+ tests, but it would be best to check direct with the school as different Grammars do vary in how they test for entry to years other than year 7. They are standardised against a national sample unlike the 11+ which is standardised against the Lincolnshire cohort living in in the selective school areas.

Current Year 7 is not full so if she passes the tests you should not have any difficulty in getting a place. I am guessing that they would test from about May onwards as it would be for entry to Year 8 in September but again, check direct with the school.

Good Luck!
