What level should a child be working at for in term exam?

My Daughter did not take the 11 plus in year 6 but a lot of her friends did.
She is not happy at her current high school despite doing very well in assessments and being told she is at the highest end of her class in most subjects. She would like to try a in term exam for KGG but I am unsure if her assessment levels are high enough for grammer standard.
What kind of assessment levels are grammer children expected to be reaching in year 7? (I know there will be a lot of variation)
Thank you

For mid year entry to KGGS your daughter would have to take NfER tests very similar to the 11+. The curriculum levels she is currently working at would not be relevant unless she did not pass the test and wanted to appeal the non-qualification. If this were the case, for a Year 7 child the panel would probably be most interested in the Key Stage SATS results obtained in year 6. I am afraid I don't know what the "expected" levels are for this stage of Year 7 - but I imagine they would probably be level 5 and above in the core subjects for Grammar school children.
