Found out today there are only 9 appeals this year for this school at the moment. No idea what the non-qual/over-subs split is, but its definitely low considering the last few years has seen 12/18/30+ appeals and this year nearly 240 passed as opposed to 218 last year. I'm surprised given there were 5 successful appeals last year (highest ever) that such a low number have appealed.

Still time for a few more to go in.....

How have you found out how many appeals are in????

My DS's friend didn't get in and they are appealing and got the info from Lincs CC, as I did last year. I've always found them helpful.

Does anyone know how long the panel have before they send out the decisions?
Also, is the length of time stated the time allowed from the person's appeal or the time allowed from the last appeal to be heard in that series of block appeals?

Hi Ziggi - last year, the individual hearings were held on the weds and thurs and then we had to phone at 2pm friday for the result and a letter was then sent dated the Monday and by the weds I'd had a pack from QEHS.

Does anyone know how many appeals there were in total? How many were non-qualification and how many were over-subscription appeals?

Hi - no idea only that DS's friends oversub appeal was unsuccessful. Quickest way to get an answer would be to email admissions unless Alex has the info.

No idea how many appeals there were this year, but my DS's friends mum said she thought there were about 11 or 12 families at stage 1, 4 appeals were upheld all oversub appeals, all non-qual appeals were dismissed again.
