Hi

I live near Market Deeping, Lincolnshire and would like to know what are the grammar schools I can apply for my DD.
I think the nearest would be Bourne Grammar & Spalding Girls High School. Just wondered whether there are any other grammar or independent or private schools I can apply for? Can you also advise on transport facilities.

With regard to state schools, your best bet is to check your local authority's secondary school admissions pages, as they will have up to date details admissions procedures, how to register your DC for the 11+ , catchment areas etc, as well as the link to your Common Application Form (most applications now being made online).

In most areas, parents are responsible for getting their children to school, but some LEAs do organise school buses, especially for those living in more rural places. Again, your local authority site should have current details.

For independent schools, I think you can search sites such as the Home Schools Guide by area.

I suspect the independent school nearest to you for senior pupils would be at Stamford http://www.ses.lincs.sch.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; probably have quite a few children from Market Deeping there.
