 Post subject: Which books?

Lincolnshire Grammar schools use eleven plus exams prepared by NFER. With that said, which books are the best to learn from. My first son is about to take 11+ in September and we want him to attend Carres Grammar. I rang up and they say that there is one standard paper on verbal reasoning and a multi choice on non-verbal reasoning.

Hello Donna,

Sorry for the late reply. If you look at the thread "confused about what to buy" and scroll through there are fairly comprehensive recommendations for both VR and NVR.

Both exams are actually Standard format though many call the NVR multiple Choice because you do actually pick the answer from a selection - in true "multiple Choice" format though you have to fill in the answer on a separate sheet whereas in Standard format you just ring the correct answer on the question paper.
