In a practice paper my daughter scored 78 in VR and 83 in NVR. At the time of testing she was 10 years and 1 month old. We are in Lincolnshire. Can anybody convert these figures for me please?

hi - I am not sure about converting the scores but my daughter sat her 11plus last year and we aimed to get above 75% in each test - that should be enough for a pass. From what my headteacher told us my daughter scored very highly in the VR and not so highly in the NVR but the higher mark compensated for the lower one. Hope this helps.

Standardised scores are obtained by comparing the scores of all (or a specified selection) of the candidates who take a test, so it is not possible to get a standardised score from practice test results.

Were these the familiarisation tests set by consortium or were they something set only by your own school?

The familiarisation tests are not good evidence for appeals because the papers do not always change from year to year and also they are not always sat under strict exam conditions by the various schools.
