Standardised Scores

Post by waiting in walderslade »

My DD has passed however I'm interested to know how the scores are weighted for age.

She was born in September and so is the eldest in her year, if she had produced the same work in her tests but was born say in February how would that have affected her score?

No set rules. It varies from year to year. But anecdotal evidence suggests its only a few marks. Also it is generally considered that age standardisation still favours the Sept born rather than the Aug born.
