My friends child took it in Bexley a few years ago and passed. Then went on their chosen grammar waiting list. Befor your child can take it "they" do check to make sure the child is at a high enough level to sit test. Not sure who "they" are though  My friends child was never happy at the school they were at so it was an easy choice for them.

There isn't a 13+ in Medway as such. But during Year 7 if your dc is doing really well at their high school, they'd need to be a the top of the year in that school. You can ask for another review (in the spring of Y7 I think) and work and reports are sent to the grammar school you want for the gs to review. I know of a couple of children who got into the grammar school this way even though they failed the 11+.
