Hi. Does anyone know if the Math school looks at scores for admission? I have looked in the admission to secondary school booklet and it doesn't seem to. My son would love to go to the Math school but we live closer to Chatham Grammar. Any info would be great. x

We are only a couple of miles away from the Maths School but as I said we are closer to Chatham Grammar and I'm hoping that this won't disadvantage my son in his 1st choice. Possibly will but we can try. Thanks for your reply. x

Last offered distance for the Maths school this year was 7.97miles, last year 9miles and in 2008 it was 7.7. Its on page 10/12 in the admission booklet. It doesnt matter you live near Chatham boys, if the Maths school is your choice then just go for it.

Put the schools in order you want them on the CAF. It the Maths school is first that is fine, it dosnt matter if you have another grammar in your back garden  If your son is one of the 168(think this is their PAN) nearest boys who apply then he will get a place. If he isnt then the form will look at the second choice - and so on

We are technically closer to CGB by a couple of hundred yards but DS started SJWMS this September. There are boys in his form who travel from Shorne, Bobbing etc.
