I rung admissions this morning and was told that we would have the review results by the 27th.

Thanks tiredmum :)

I rang MGGS and was told that there was no chance that my daughter would get it as we are OOC, even though we are only about 5 miles away as they give priority to those children who are from the same "scheme of education". Really stressing out now! Even though dd passed with a good score, I might still not be able to get her into a Kent Grammar school!! Really hope the review went well.

I thought that was illegal? I was told by Medway admissions that Medway didn't have any more 'right' to a place than Kent?

The oversubscription criteria is very clear in the Kent admissions booklet for the various Kent schools. Both MGGS and Invicta have the same criteria, I rang the schools just to confirm. They have a list of areas which get priority, even if there are much further away. I feel sorry for my dd - I feel like she wasted her time by doing the Kent test, if she can't get a school!

Altthough, passing the Kent test did give her a much needed confidence boost after just missing the Medway test. Oh well, we'll see what happens...

invicta are not often over-subscribed though - so there is hope there?
