Have we all got Plan B's in place?
What are you going to do if you don't get your 1st choice?
Re: Have we all got Plan B's in place?
After last year's experiences of friends of mine my advice for Plan B would be if your dc has passed the 11+ but not got their chosen grammar school - then appeal in the strongest possible way to the school of your choice - why it has to be that school. If they haven't got the 11+ then appeal to a school that still has spaces. That way you aren't having to fight on two fronts (over-sub and non-qualif) and can concentrate all your efforts on showing why the 11+ results are wrong in your dc's case. For boys I would appeal to Chatham Boys and to girls to Chatham Girls - both of which are not over-subscribed according to what a primary head told me.
Good luck to everyone for tomorrow.
