My daughter will be sitting the Medway test in November, can anyone kindly tell me what is involved with the extended writing paper. Is it just story writing or is there comprehension as well. I would be grateful for a reply

Hi
My understanding is that it is only a story that they have yo write as compared to comprehension.
Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, one more question, how long do they get for this test, the others I understand is 50 minutes.

To my knowledge, it is a 50 min test with 10 min planning (don't know if this is included in 50 mins or extra). It is a creative writing exercise, definitely no comprehension, and apparently they get marked on general skills and content.

Hope this helps.
