Don't know specifically about Medway, but certainly it is in London. I've friends all around London and those with kids in year 6 are all in schools where they had to fit in an extra classroom somewhere.

Re: High Birth year?
I know that Medway's birth rates went down to a low point and the current yr 8s are the bottom of that and then it started to go up again - but I don't know how sharply. If you google kent education advice you will find a site with info on this and much else
Re: High Birth year?
Hi Samlet, yes I can see that its starting to increase and that site you mentioned is very informative.
Don't suppose you know of anyone that has previously had success in being offered a space at RGS or moreso FP after a Kent pass and appeal?

Re: High Birth year?
I'm afraid I don't - the Kent DDs at RGS all took the Medway test. And I don't know of anyone at RGS who got in after appeal (although in my DD's year they took girls who passed on review which equals a pass at pass mark - she is Yr8 with the low birth rate) as their entry mark is above the pass mark.
Sorry it's not better news.
