Hi Liney, try the LEA - we got the past 7 years intake figures for both schools we are appealing for as aprt of their evidence against us, so I'm sure someone at the LEA will have these, and I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be freely available
All the best for next Wednesday, will keep everything crossed.

Thanks

I have got the figures from both LEA and the school, but there is such a discrepancy, especially in a couple of the years! Not looking forward to Wed!! :(

Hi

Do you have the figures for the previous year 7 intake please.

Any ideas for preparing for appeal my appeal is this Thursday.

Whats your opinion on asking the panel questions or do you think its better to just state your case

Thanks

This is my own personal opinion: I would concentrate on stating my case more than asking questions. The odd question would be ok, but remember you are there to present your case, to prove that your child does have the academic ability to be in a grammar school. I am wishing you lots of luck Silversurfer.

Hi Silversurfer
These are the figures given to me by RMGS: Sept
2000 168
2001 160
2002 192
2003 178
2004 175
2005 176
2006 193
2007 170
and these are from the LEA:
2003- 179
2004- 176
2005- 177
2006- 172
2007- 188
I hope this helps you. Just out of interest what did your child score in the11+?

Liney
