A support thread!
I think we might be heading for an appeal! Although she has done several papers successfully at home I think she panicked in the real thing and didn't finish quite a lot of the VR :-(

Hi Catherinesmum - welcome to the forum

Hopefully there will be some other North Yorkshire parents around ...sometimes a bit thin on the ground

Did your DD miss some on both days? sometimes they do better on the second day as they are more confident.

Are you looking at SGHS or Ripon ? the cutoff mark for the two is different

Don't worry too much until the results are through (easier said than done though, I know).

Whatever happens there will be lots of support for you.

We've all been there and done it, so know how you feel.

Hiya Catherines mum....

Yes we are here!!!

Were there any distractions at the testing days? Had there been any upset or ANYTHING that could have led to her being upset. Speak to the primary school...has she been ok at school......and then try and relax because its out of your hands until the results day...

I know that one child was very upset at first actual test at EGS and was taken out but that incident didnt bother my DC...but thats not to say it may have bothered others?

Q

Hi CM,

Try not to worry too much, children aren't always the best judge of how they did in the test.

Thanks for your replies. The best thing now is just to forget about til the results come out. After the The first set of papers she came dancing out of school thinking she'd done well. After the second set she was quite despondent.the teacher told her off for being late (she wasn't she was bang on time) and I think this likely unsettled her a bit.
