My DS is due to take the entrance tests for Calderdale Grammer Schools.

We started prepping in January 2012.

We have completed practice tests and I am not sure what to do now? There is nothing further he can learn at this late stage.....

Any advice of what to do during the last couple of weeks leading to the tests would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I agree at this stage they have learned all they are going to. I didn't do any further work in the last couple of weeks but I know everyone is different. I thought it was important to keep confidence high and remind DC to be tenacious in the exam.

Good luck. :)

It would be good to hear what others are doing/did?

oooh activity in Yorkshire, how rare!
I can't help you for Calderdale but my DS has just done N Yorks (Ermysteds)

I wound it right down for the last week or so, if they know it then there is no point going over and over it again, there is nothing to be gained other than a worn out DC.
I dropped down a bit and did a bit of comprehension/vocabulary by playing boggle/scrabble etc. and looked at the Bond books age 9-10 and 10-11 but not sitting full on tests.

Good luck to your DS,

Vic x
