Calderdale test with special needs

Hi there, I have two dc in NHGS and they are very happy there. Number 3 would love to go there too. He is in year 4 currently and we are starting to think about the test. He has just been diagnosed with special needs so nothing is even set up for him at his primary school yet. I think he will need some help for the test. How can I find out what kind of help would be available for him when the time comes? It might affect the way he prepares such as larger print etc. Plz let me know if you have any info about this as I am completely new to SEN.

Hi Ghee,
I think your first port of call is for the primary school to arrange for an assessment of dc's needs. You could also ask the school what help is available and under what circumstances they will offer alternative provision.
