Four Weeks to Go - feeling the strain

Hi everyone

Only three weeks to go until Calderdale schools test - how's everybody doing? I am worried that daughters scores and timings are dipping. Possibly boredom and motivation problems now. I'm not too concerned because we have put in a lot of work and practice over the last few months and that should stand her in good stead, but I'm a beginning to think that she may have peaked too soon ie in the pre-test. I'm hoping that come the real thing adrenelin will set in and help her to achieve at her best. I would appreciate any advice about what to do in the last few weeks to consolidate what we have done so far without boredom or burn-out becoming a problem.

Hi Nervy,

I think that you are right. They are getting bored with the practice but I am quite sure will be fine on the day. Try not to worry :?

Patricia has posted on the run up to the exam.

Hi Nervy and Mitasol,
golly what a grotty time for the exam! I thought the N Yorks was a bit grim being 2 weeks after they weent back in September but at least it was out of the way and they weren't tooo lurgified by the horrid viruses. In January at least they have had a bit of tim off - but December and all the excitement of Christmas events must make it very difficult to cincentrate....

Good Luck all
