Two questions (and two kids! )

When do they take the 11+. My son, born in January 1998, is currently in Year 4. Is the paper sat in Year 6?

Second question, my daughter, in Year 2, is currently way behind many of her peers, particulary in Maths. Can anyone suggest any coaching we can do with her now to help her catch up and get through the 11+. I really don't want to start off too early but not sure what else to do.

the 11+ in Trafford is sat in year 6 at the beginning of October. This year the exam was on 7th. If you are sitting for either Altrincham Girls or Altrincham Boys their entrance exam is held about a month later at the beginning of November.
If you would like to do extra maths work with your daughter, the Bond assesment starter papers are for ages 6-7 years. I do find though that you do need to give a lot of help at the beginning with these until your child gets used to the format
