Yes, I know we were queuing for ages but didn't think there were that many!!!

Best of luck- apart from Alty and St A has your son sat any other exams?

What part of Stockport are you from?

Am I being very nosy!???

Congratulations to all of you who passed St Ambrose exams. It's our turn next year. Did you discuss with your DS the actual content of the exams? Any advice or suggestions on what to revise and concentrate on would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks x

He sat Sale too, & we just got the results today. Overall he's got:

Alty - 354/423
St. Ambrose - 379/409
Sale - 390/423

Do we dare risk not putting our local comp' as one of the three choices on the preference form? :?

From what the head at Alty girls said, if you put down a Trafford school on your list and also a Stockport school on your list, you will get the offer of two places - one in Trafford and the other in Stockport; then you must accept one and reject the other. I wouldn't risk not putting a Stockport school down, but you need to phone and ask your LEA if you can have more than three choices, since your son has passed three Trafford grammar exams. Well done by the way :)

Hi

think you'll only get one offer - that is the idea of the CAF these days.

I'm certainly no authority, I'm only passing on what the AGGS head said. I would ring both Stockport and Trafford LEA's to see what they advise.
