Hi just thinking way ahead now but if son passes AGSB and Sale and put them top of Stockport lea form but does not get offered place in march , then people who were offered places but go elsewhere(private or prefer another as some kids tend to take these exams for practice) what happens next- are you told in march that you don't have place but are in reserve or do you have to ring school and ask to be put on waiting list in case people decline place? does anyone have any experience of this out there? many thanks

My daughter passed the exam for AGGS but didn't get a place in the March allocation. AGGS sent me a letter with a slip to confirm whether or not I wanted to be put on the waiting list. I rang the admissions secretary to confirm too, and asked if she could give me an idea of where my daughter was on the list - which she helpfully did! This gave us hope - and my daughter got her confirmation of a place in early May.

Waiting for the results of the exams for daughter number two - it could go either way; wish the next few weeks were over!
