Hi All,

I have just phoned AGSB and spoke to a lady on reception. They have had a lot of calls about the results.
I asked if they would be here by this weekend as i will be away and don't want to miss them.

Her reply was they are really busy this year and they are more likely to posted out next week but she couldn't give me a date. But she was quite certain that it wouldn't be this weekend.

Just thought i'd share the information.

Thanks

p.s. If you do get them this weekend, please don't shoot the messenger. :)

AGSB are vague. They said 'mid October' last year, not giving an exact date. We got them on Saturday 15th.

Hi Traffordparent
Have you heard about anyone who has been contacted by their school as their boy is being reviewed? :?:

Whats that suppose to mean? Being reviewed? In what context?

The review is referring to the automatic review process that kicks in if a boy doesn't achieve the pass mark but is within 13 marks of it. They look at the creative writing, a report form the person who was in the room to see if anything happened plus get a report from the boys current school and then they have the discretion to award a reviewed pass. I doubt any school would say in advance if they'd been contacted by AGSB as they would get "pressure" potentially. Plus of course that would be telling people in advance that they hadn't achieved the pass mark!

I just asked because I noticed Traffordparent enquiring if anyone had been approached by AGBS- I hadn't heard of it before either. G
