My daughter has got 352 marks in aggs . We live 3 miles away from altrincham grammar school. So it's first catchment. Although she has achieved required but letter says over subscription policy is applied. So can anyone tell about this standardised score. How many chances are there keeping in view distance and admission score ? And how much percentage is this 352?

You are safe as house! I would imagine it's a standard letter to all apart from the score.
Congrats!!

You're fine Beenish! You can assume your daughter will have a place. My daughter is in yr 7 and has friends that live in Urmston and Flixton which is a lot further than 3 miles. Congratulations!

Hi,

How are you measuring distance, is that a straight line from door to door or via road journey?

My daughter has just passed AGGS we live in Brooklands area of Sale...straight line distance is 2.7 miles (that I know that is sad I will admit).

I've never heard of first catchment area, what is that?

I still don't really have a clue if she's likely to get a place and it's a long wait until March :-(

Anyone have a view on this. Thanks.
