Anyone else received these? We got them today, he's passed (just), catholic but out of catchment. Anyone any idea what his chances are?

Not passed - just. But there is a form with the results
asking me to sign to confirm he's Catholic and return by post.

Hi Kiko3. Congratulations to your DS I personally have never heard of a catholic boy in or out of catchment not being offered a place if they have passed the exam. If I was in your position i would feel quite optimistic.

My DS has also passed St Ambrose - so now a choice between AGSB and St Ambrose, a few of his close friends didn't get in AGSB so I have a feeling he will want to go to Ambrose!

I really can't see a huge difference in each Schools facilities or teaching levels, just relieved and proud that he's done so well!

Hi kiko3, my son is currently at y7 we were out of catchment catholic but received a place last year. He had a good score ( not sure about impact of scores though) but from what I gather all catholic boys who passed have managed to get in, in the past. Good luck!
