Had this message from School today, and also Durham University will be conducting the tests.

I think it makes tremendous sense to not have hundreds of parents there on a Saturday, and agree with this proposal.

Subject: Sale Grammar School Entrance Examination

Attached is a little further information about the changes to the Sale Grammar School entrance examination. All of the information, together with FAQ will be posted on their website on April 1st and you will be able to register your child for their examination from that date.

One of the changes is that the examination will take place on a Monday. The current intention is that the children will come to school as usual and we will take those who are participating to Sale Grammar School on a coach with school staff, who will remain during the test. This is the Grammar school (and our) preference, as we feel that it will be less stressful for the children.

I can understand why this is. If the children are going "en mass" with existing school friends then it is les daunting. We have not had any responce from our school regarding this arrangement.

What primary school are you at?

Thanks and good luck xx
