Just been to an info evening at UGS about the residential in September to hear that they have increased their intake numbers from 128 to 150 for this year (2014 intake). Apparently this was due to demand and also the fact that they have had some new classrooms built.
I have just looked at their website and seen that there will be 150 places next year too (2015 intake).
I wonder if any of the other Trafford Grammar schools will follow suit and do the same?

Thanks for the info Homebird. Did they say anything about catchment? I think they mentioned the increase in the number of school going to secondary this year at the AGSB evening.

No, Altymumof2, they didn't say anything about the catchment. They just said they were increasing their intake by 22 children due to increased demand and increasing numbers taking the exam each year. But all the admissions criteria remains the same so those 22 extra places must mean an increase in catchment area.
