Hi

I posted this query elsewhere and the helpful people who replied suggested I tried asking here!

My 10 year old was told (before her mock SATs) not to bother thinking about 11 plus as her maths and spelling would let her down.

However, her results for the SATs are 5c in reading, 4a in litreacy (spelling stopped her being a 5c), 4b in science and 4c in maths. Her projections for the end of 6 are all 5's apart from a 4a in maths.

She has a reading age of 14.6 and a spelling age of 7.8.

With some extra tutition I think she might make it, but I know very little about the system. Any advice????
