Hi first time here have seen some good historical posts and have seen practise papers as advised. We are still considering a group tutor for my year 5 son he is bright and school agrees grammar school potential, but we think he may benefit from tutorship perhaps group to bring out competitive side of him. Looking at both St Anselms (his choice) and Wirral Grammar. Would anyone with experience offer details of wirral tutor and or advice bit of a minefield.
Genuine recommendations by PM only (private message) are acceptable - but beware of the possibility that someone who appears to be offering a recommendation may have a vested interest! Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'. Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with caution. However, there are many long standing members (check the date of joining and number of posts) who make a valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering seriously (while still exercising a degree of caution).
If you receive a recommendation from anyone else, please exercise extreme caution!

oops shdve realised no actual names in forums thanks. Anyone got advice on group tutor v 1:1 And is earlier the better tutorship good idea or do young uns burn out. Thanks Angie for reply anyway.Re: Newbie
