The Sunday Times Secondary School of the year
The Liverpool Blue Coat School.
The first state school in the north of England to be named The Sunday Times State Secondary School of the Year.
How refreshing, a school and parents that do not make a song and dance about how good they are
Well not on this forum anyway !

Re: The Sunday Times Secondary School of the year
Assumedly that is the Sunday Times (North of England) State Secondary School of the Year?!! The Cotswold School down here has made a big song and dance that they have been named Sunday Times State Secondary School of the Year!! They can't both be it.....!!
Re: The Sunday Times Secondary School of the year
The Cotswold is named as the Comprehensive School of the Year.
K-G I agree it is a little confusing since both are state schools, but that's how they have titled it
Ithink Blue Coats is a selective state school.
Anyway I am sure they are equally good schools.

I have no idea! It is a school that is relatively close to us but not close enough to be considered - we have friends there, which is why I know they are "promoting" the award. Cotswold definitely isn't selective, so arguably, has done really, really well! (But I say that hugely tongue in cheek as any league table is flawed in many ways!!)
