Layout of Upton paper

I know I have posted before re Upton but I was chatting to a lady today whose DD took Upton last year and her DD said the way you fill out the answer grid is a bit different -something about a,b,c and d. I presume what this means is for each question the 4 possible answers are listed on the answer sheet as either a,b,c or d rather than eg for a maths question 24,32,23,17. So the 4 possible answers must be with the question. Would just be nice to know what to expect so my DD doesn't waste time working out how to record her answers.
