Dear Polly0494

To advise we need to know which school/area you are applying for.

Do you know which disciplines are being used, who are the publishers are the tests Multiple Choice or Standard form?

Patricia

Many thanks for your response. My dd will be taking the Medway 11+ in October 2009. Other than that, at this stage, I am not sure of format.

Any further assistance would be appreciated.

Regards

Starting to panic now - I've not so far come across any mirror codes! Do they come up very often? (In Bucks). I love the way Suncrest has suggested remembering them - will do something similar with DD - I'm sure she'll come up with some weird and wonderful way of remembering them!

Hi all

My son is taking the Bucks test in October and he is having issues with timing especially with the Type C questions, does anyone have anymore tips on doing these questions which may help him speed up?

Thank you

If he is able to convert the alphabet to number like C = 3 D = 4 then mirror of C = 3 + 13 = 16 (P)

He would need to know the following facts :

If the alphabet appears before M then add 13 else subtract 13

E = 5
J = 10
O = 15
T = 20
Y = 25

It takes a few days to get this imbibed but definately the a faster way to get through for kids who have strong Maths

we right the alphabet as 2 vertical lines

MN at top

then right letters O to Z under the N

put A to the left of the Z and work up to M
