Hi there, Can anyone advise me how to calculate the RAW score of the verbal reasoning paper which consists of 80 questions.

If 141 is the highest score does this equate to 80 / 80 correct.

If this is the case is each correct question given the same mark of 1.7625.

I can work out the standardised score if I can sort out how to mark the test paper so would appreciate some advice.

Thanks in anticipation......

Full marks does NOT equate to getting all the questions right.

I have looked at the test papers that I have and of the 80 questions there are 100 answers. So if all 100 answers are correct then somehow this equates to a top score of 141. How this is worked out I do not understand. So if anyone knows please enlighten the rest of us.

Hi Luke's mum,

There is an explanation of the mysteries of standardised scoring on this site:

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/standa ... scores.php

and it has a link to a fuller explanation by NfER.

Hope this helps to clarify things for you.
