Hi Irene+
Q.57
(leg arm log)
(end in at)
This is now ambiguous in usage circa. 2009, but hese papers were published some years ago. "Log in" started life as two separate words, then tended to be hyphenated and is now in common usage as a compound word. However at the time the papers were written it was not the case. The correct answer is therefore legend. The real papers would not have ambiguous answers like this.
Q.71
(storm [steam] teams)
(brook [?] beast)
The first 4 letters could lead to either trea- or brea-. However the last letter has been derived from:
:: either the "m" in storm, which becomes the "k" from brook, giving "break"
:: or the "m" in teams which becomes the "s" from beast and would give "breas" as the answer.
The question is correct and the answer is break.
Hope that helps
