MISSING LINKS
Each clue consists of three words which have a fourth in common. For example, PAINT, ELBOW and PROOF are linked by the word GREASE.
So what 4-letter word links
Thought - Bone - Away ??
Anyone any ideas please? My brain hurts.

Unfortunately I forgot to leave a shadow topic on Everything Else. Sorry about that, and I hope you find this OK.
As to the answer ... ermmm ... "Less" works with thought and bone, but quite what the connection with away is, I'm not sure, unless it is "He was going away less often than before".
