Finding the next number that continues

Can you help me with this one please.

6, 10, 18, 34, 66

What is the next number that continues the series?

With number sequences one of the methods is to look at the difference between each number

so with 6, 10, 18, 34, 66

10 - 6 = 4
18 - 10 = 8
34 - 18 = 16
66 - 34 = 32

so it follows that the next difference should again be doubled ie 32 x2 = 64

66 + 64 = 130 the next number in the sequence (hopefully)

Damn thank you Rosered. I could work out that it follows 4, 8, 16 but couldnt see the pattern that it was multiplying by 2

I doubled the number and subtracted 2. Same answer,different method. just hope its right........
