Re: Help- type 19 (k) questions
We don't know that, because we don't have the answer.KeepCool wrote:That's wrong - it doesn't work on the last one.
It could quite easily be ( 20 [ ? ] 7 ) 20 + 7 = 27 - 6 = 21, and the answer of 21 is designed to confuse the child because it is the same number as in the second set.
I would agree with KeepCool that it is probably the right solution. It would be helpful on all VR questions if people could post the possible answers (Multiple Choice) and the final answer (all formats), provided they have the answer sheet and the answers to hand.
The second one has to be an error. I think the author went from "Add" for the first set to "Multiply" for the second set. I reckon the third set was probably "multiply", and therefore 64.

I'm glad you think it has to be an error too. I was wondering if the shingles had addled my brain. The first one seems reasonably straightforward as Minesatea posted - not sure why Keepcool thinks that it cannot be add then subtract 6 though. Am I missing something?

Thanks a lot! I do not have the multiple choice sheet with me! Was from some old collection from a friend of mine!
