learning lab and Walsh books
I have already bought lots of the resources mentioned on this forum, but haven't got any of the Learning lab or Walsh books yet. I would like to buy just one of each (as not much money left in our 11+ kitty now) and wondered if those that have used them could advise which level of each to go for. I think Walsh has 3 levels and L/Lab 2 levels. eg I understand Walsh is hard so should we go for level 1?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
Re: learning lab and Walsh books
Walsh age 9 - 10 set 1 do not keep to the stock 21 types of questions.
Walsh books 1 and 2 keep to the 21 types with harder vocabulary and use brackets in 2 types of maths [ GL Assessment do not]
Walsh book 3 keeps to the 21 types for the first 3 tests, the last test uses an old obsure type of question which is not relevant.
Learning Lab introductory and "normal" books are very similar in ability with regard to the vocabulary. All books keep the 21 types.
I would be tempted just to use the Learning lab "normal" books over the Walsh if the kitty is running low.
