Advice on 11 Plus VR papers and problems

hi we got our childrens reports on friday and am hoping if someone can explain what a verbal reasoning test score at the end of year 5 is for ?my ddgot 122on her year 5 report,i dont no what that means and why they are for ..also we have just started doing the learning lab tests at home and she just will not go beyond the score of 60:( ..any tips please .also she is a june child will that make any differnce?

were there two other numbers too? If so, they were probaby CATS tests, which are generally considered to be pretty good indicators of 11 plus ability. 122 is a good score - but you really need to know the other two numbers as well to mae a judgement.

The month your child is born in, is used to standardise scores.Which takes into account their age at the time they take the 11+.

Hi, had another look ar the reports there are no other numbers there, just verbal reasoning score ...so i presume its just a verbal reasoning test that they do in year 5 to see how well the child is going to do in the real thing maybe?

We also receive a score for Verbal Reasoning at the end of Years 4 and 5. In the school report we are told that a standardised score of over 118 indicates likely success in selection tests, so your score looks good.

The tests are by QCA and you used to be able to look at a sample on their website but it seems they are being closed down.
