a(b)c
a-c-7 (33-11-7)
a-c-6 (17-3-6)
a-c-5 (25-14-5)=4

Feeling lazy, but this could be one way possibly

Unfortunately 25 - 14 - 5 does not = 4

A quick look, assuming this is a 2 operation set of numbers, either its a publishers error or kili has written down the incorrect numbers.

Kili, which set of papers are these numbers from?

Will take a "proper" look when I get back from visiting some elderly Aunts...

My very old version of this poor set of questions, has 17 (7) 3

so 17-3=14, 14-7=7

and 25-14=11, 11-7=4

the (8) looks like a typo!

I wish people would triple check before posting; saves a lot of time when one is racking the old grey cells for a solution
