Does anyone please have any tips for type F?

Example: John bought a new comer (put) computer

DD really seems to struggle with this type (standard version not multiple choice) any suggestions would be gratefully received :?

Clue to the full word is always in the sentence.

Look for letters that go together eg. ING therefore the word probably will go just before the ING. Look for letters that do not go together eg. WV the word will go between the WV.

Multiple choice really does make this question easier as the child can quickly try sounding the words between the letters and as a last resort start writing the words out.
